Case & Pitch Competition Rules
0. The International Italian Luxury Case & Pitch Competition will consist of three (3) cases (Case 1 and Case 2 and Case 3 respectively, or collectively referred to as the Cases), and one (1) pitch (the Pitch).
1. The competition is open to current higher education students of institutions (Colleges, Community Colleges, and/or Universities) in Italy, Canada, or the United States of America.
2. The competition is being held in the spirit of sportsmanship, camaraderie, goodwill, education, economic empowerment, and international economic collaboration.
3. Students and participants (as individuals and as a team) are expected to be professional, courteous, and behave in a manner conducive of the spirit of the competition.
4. Any violation of these rules may result in disqualification of the team. All decisions to disqualify are final.
5. Teams will prepare a case solution for the Cases and/or the Pitch for which they have signed up.
6. Solutions will be submitted in the format of a PowerPoint Presentation (PPT or PPTX), as well as an accompanying 5-to-10-minute video for each of the cases and the pitch (more details about uploading PowerPoint and Video entries will be emailed to your team leader).
7. Case 1 and Case 2 will be made available to your team leader via email on May14th at Midnight (Eastern Time), 2022.
8. The Pitch will be made available to your team leader via email on May 14th, at Midnight (Eastern Time), 2022.
9. Teams must hand in their PowerPoint and Video entries for the Cases and/or the Pitch by May 28th at 11:59 pm (Eastern Time).
10. Entries (consisting of a PowerPoint and Video Presentation) are final, cannot be modified, or edited after they are submitted.
11. Entries must consist of non-corrupted files that do not contain viruses, malware, or other malicious code.
12. Entries that do not meet the criteria set in these rules will be disqualified.
13. Outside help, primary research, and secondary research are encouraged.
14. Entries must contain language and materials that are professional, socially acceptable, and representative of your team, its members, and your school, including ethical conduct.
15. A total of 25 teams may enter each of the Cases and the Pitch.
16. The Team Leaders of the teams advancing to the finals for each of the Cases and the Pitch will receive an email indicating as such.
17. Three teams for each of the Cases and the Pitch will make it to the final, of which there will be a selected winner and runner up (Gold and Silver), as well as a third-place finalist (Bronze).
18. Judging will be carried out be guest judges from academia, industry, and government sources.
19. Results will be made public on our website ( www.thebigleaf.com/competitions) as well as to the Team Leaders via email.
20. Winning teams (Gold and Silver, or First and Second Place) from each of the Cases and the Pitch will receive their prize via mail.
